Chip is the Founder and a Partner of Elmwood Group, a boutique Durham, NC-based real estate development firm that specializes in delivering thoughtful, well-located, and design-focused residential projects.

Prior to founding Elmwood in 2020, Chip was a developer with Atlanta-based Core Property Capital, a real estate investment and development company. At Core, Chip traveled regularly throughout the Southeast, developing over 1,000 apartment units and working on a team that acquired over 3,000,000 SF of commercial real estate and 4,000 apartment units.

At home in Durham, NC, Chip and his wife Margaret have their hands full raising two young boys. Originally a native of Memphis, TN and Atlanta, GA, Chip graduated from Wake Forest University (B.S. Mathematical Economics) and Vanderbilt University (M. Engineering).
